Exalted Patron, Dr. Dorian Dalton, 102nd and 1 half˚
Exalted Patron Dr. Dorian Dalton was born in the small town of Copiapo in Chile. The mysteries of this small detail and the his coincidental field of study will become apparent shortly. From a family of modest means, Dr. Dalton always aspired to leave this small town and dedicate his life to the study of human behavior, especially when exposed to confined spaces. His breakthrough discoveries in the field of psychology, especially in the study of claustrophobia, would lead him to develop psychological techniques to overcome anxiety in confined spaces.
In 2010, the very techniques that he had developed decades before, would aid in the survival of the chilean miners who became trapped for 69 days in the town of -you guessed it- Copiaco, Chile. Among the 33 miners trapped was his adopted son, who had helped his father in his studies and had become very familiar with the breakthroughs made by his father. These cryptic survival techniques not only helped him be a better miner, but eventually saved his life.
Dr. Dalton lives in a small castle atop a hill in Dublin, Ireland, but owns a winter home in Southern California, U.S.
